Covering over 100 cities nationwide! Ping An upgrades its home-based senior care service system with "Three Major Plans"

Recently, the home-based senior care service system under Ping An of China underwent another major upgrade. It is reported that the system centers on the three core needs of the silver-haired population—medical health, safety, and daily care—to create three new major service plans: "Someone to manage illness, Someone to assist with safety, and Someone to care for aging." As of now, the home-based care services provided by "Ping An Butler" cover 100 cities nationwide; in 2025 alone, the service expanded to 25 cities, representing a growth rate of over 33%. Simultaneously, nearly 240,000 customers have cumulatively qualified for home-based senior care services, and the "Smart Guardian" alert response rate has reached 100%.

Guided by the "15th Five-Year Plan," actively responding to population aging and promoting the coordinated development of senior care undertakings and industries have become important strategic directions. Based on the "9073" domestic senior care market pattern (90% of seniors choose home-based care, 7% rely on community support, and 3% stay in professional institutions), home-based care is the primary choice for the vast majority of the senior. As the flagship member of the Ping An Group's medical and senior care ecosystem, Ping An Good Doctor has firmly practiced the "Integrated Finance + Health and Senior Care" strategy since 2022. It has deepened the development of the "Insurance + Home-based Senior Care" model, providing seniors with full-scenario, full-cycle senior care solutions anchored by the "Senior Care Butler," allowing more seniors to enjoy their later years in peace. By continuously observing the daily behaviors and core needs of seniors living at home, Ping An Home-Based Senior Care focuses on three areas: medical health, safety assurance, and professional care. It is also gradually extending to build a multi-modal service system combining "Home-based Senior Care + Sojourn (Travel-based) Senior Care." In addition to surpassing 100 cities in service coverage, it has created differentiated sojourn bases in locations such as Huangshan, Anhui, and Yidu, Hubei.

It is understood that, based on decades of medical and health service experience, innovative AI medical capabilities, and a rich online + offline service network, Ping An Home-Based Senior Care has built up strength and recently launched a major upgrade to its service system. The newly created three major service plans of "Someone to manage illness, Someone to assist with safety, and Someone to care for aging" primarily utilize "1 Doctor Butler + N Specialist Groups + Case Management Team" to provide services such as longevity management, chronic disease management, and medical treatment access. Through smart guardianship and age-friendly renovations, it constructs a full-scenario age-friendly solution; through hospital care, home care, and institution recommendations, it achieves seamless connection across three major care scenarios to meet personalized care needs. "The Doctor Butler is the core hub of our service. They are composite talents possessing both professional medical capabilities and high-quality service skills, and the selection process is extremely strict. Currently, the doctor team consists of personnel at the Vice-Chief Physician level or above, with backgrounds in Grade 3A hospitals and an average of over 20 years of clinical experience," a company representative further explained.

Meanwhile, on this basis, the Ping An Home-Based Senior Care model has extended in recent years to the innovative form of "Sojourn" (Travel-based care). Ping An Sojourn Senior Care takes "Insurance + Wellness + Sojourn" as its core, jointly creating age-friendly sojourn products with characteristic care bases through smart devices, butler services, and medical resources. by creating distinctive, high-quality short-stay experiences and expanding the supply of characteristic long-stay products, it solves the off-site home-based care needs of active seniors. The representative stated, "Our sojourn service is very different from traditional 'sleep on the bus, take photos off the bus' tourism services. On one hand, we perform age-friendly design on the entire itinerary, allowing seniors to fully experience local culture and beautiful scenery at a slower pace. On the other hand, we organically combine medical care and sojourn services, where online doctors can provide health guidance and medical assistance to users throughout the entire journey."

Over the past four years of development, Ping An has cumulatively established six industry group standards in the field of home-based senior care, including the "Guidelines for Home-Based Senior Care Remote Butler Services" and "Basic Functional Requirements for Home-Based Senior Care Service Platforms." These have been applied to service practices, greatly enhancing industry development standardization and the public's senior care experience. Recently, the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) awarded the "Home-Based Senior Care Butler Service" a five-star rating.  "Making people's lives happy is the 'country's greatest concern.' All sectors of society need to make great efforts to solve the difficulties and blockages in realizing senior care, and enhance the well-being of the senior through innovative and optimized care services," Ma Mingzhe, Chairman of Ping An of China, once stated. In the future, Ping An Good Doctor will uphold its original aspiration, work closely with all parties in the senior care service industry, further enrich service supply in home-based care scenarios, and assist senior care services in continuously moving towards standardization, normalization, and systematization.
