Ping An Good Doctor Signs Agreement with IBM Watson Apply Technology to Make Mankind Healthier
Ping An Good Doctor announced in Shanghai on April 18 that the company had signed an agreement with IBM Watson to provide internationally leading medical consultation services for cancer patients in China.

Wang Qi reveals AI is already playing an extremely important support role in Ping An Good Doctor’s online consultation process. It has significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of the consultations. Currently, Ping An Good Doctor has a team of several thousand full time doctors and tens of thousands of part time doctors. These doctors play an active role in the development and training of the AI medical consultation decision tree and diagnosis modeling for special diseases, and the results are quickly fed back into Ping An Good Doctor’s online consultation business. At founding in 2015, Ping An Good Doctor had already combined ‘AI consultation’ into its online consultation process. Through three years of implementation, the system has accumulated hundreds of millions of inquiry and consultation data. In 2017, Ping An Good Doctor released the ‘Modern Hua Tuo Plan’ which applies artificial intelligence to standardize, informatize, and automate the Traditional Chinese Medicine sector. In December of 2017, Ping An Good Doctor announced a collaboration with Unisound to create a joint venture – Shanghai Hao Yi Smart Technology Company Limited as a foray into intelligent home appliances. In January 2018, Ping An Good Doctor, in conjunction with the Hurun Report, released the Hurun Pingan China Good Doctors which covered nearly 6000 people from 30 departments in 20 cities across China. More than 2000 of these good doctors have already signed with Ping An Good Doctor to lend their expertise in improving the algorithm and data analysis of ‘medical services + AI.’
